This spring I have used a Deutz Fahr 250TTV and a JD 6215r with the same type of rototiller. We found that it uses much less fuel than the JD Interesting dealer endorsement. We had a lot of problems with the brakes. They are not very strong and soon go bad. The JD at the same job has not had any brake problems. Both tractors are doing around 1500h a year each.
The cab is too small on the Deutz Fahr 250TTV, the “B” post is too large and makes it difficult to mount any control box. The seat does not rotate, neither to the left nor to the right. The dealer and Deutz are still thinking about the brakes. They told me they weren’t a problem, and then I read on Profi that a large contractor who has the same tractors has a problem with the brakes and Deutz fixes them under warranty.
I am very happy with the Deutz Fahr 250TTV. It is always my first choice when looking for tractors. They are good for fuel and well mounted. My local dealership switched to NH about four years ago because his son was going into business and wanted a well-known brand.
Now I have 5 dealerships around me, all an hour away. We tested two and found the service not up to par with my original dealership.Since then we have been with the third. We do most of the work on the tractors ourselves, so parts are the main concern for us.The dealer ships them to me the next day cheaper than I can drive there, or if I need it the same day, he will meet me midway or leave the store open if it’s late at night. Some people have had bad experiences with Deutz Fahr but I am not one of them.
I think the Deutz Fahr 250TTV is the most powerful with the “trailor” hitch, rather than the traditional hitch.I imagine you are a bit like me, and you like that all your tractors are the same.Shame about the special hitch, I could use the T8.320 for everything except the rake and feed wagon.
